My Barbarian felt better the moment I stopped treating every purple drop as an automatic equipment change. The July changes give **s more routes into Mythic gear, from stronger Corrupted Reaper rewards to better Undercity Tribute results, and Diablo 4 runes can also matter when you are shaping a loadout around a specific goal. Still, the basic question has not changed: can your character keep Fury coming, stay alive in a crowded room, and keep attacking when the real pressure starts? If the answer is no, a rare helmet or sword will not fix much.
Start with the Rhythm, Not the Purple ItemsFor everyday Torment runs, I like a Frenzy and Whirlwind setup because it has a ** feel without being mindless. Frenzy gets things moving. It builds attack speed, helps settle your resource situation, and gives you something useful to do when Whirlwind would drain you dry. Then Whirlwind takes over once packs gather up. Rallying Cry helps the pace, Challenging Shout buys breathing room, and Wrath of the Berserker is the moment to push hard. Iron Skin is the safer pick. Leap feels nicer if you are mostly clearing fast activities. You will notice the difference quickly: a build with a steady rhythm clears more cleanly than one built around a single huge hit.
Where Mythics Actually Earn Their SlotRing of Starless Skies is usually the first piece I would ** on a Whirlwind-focused character. It helps the part of the build that **s often overlook: staying in the attack instead of stopping every few seconds to rebuild Fury. Harlequin Crest is appealing now because extra skill ranks touch so many parts of a Barbarian kit, though it is not the defensive crutch it once seemed to be. The Grandfather can still be excellent, but only if giving up that weapon slot does not cost a key Aspect or a better temper setup. Tyrael's Might is a sensible answer when incoming hits are the issue. Selig asks for more care. It can make a tough character, sure, but it also changes how you manage resources, so I would not just throw it on and hope for the best.
The smar** farming route is the one you can repeat without turning each run into a long, tense slog. At Torment X, improved Tribute rewards and repeatable Superior Lair Keys make the loop feel worth doing. At Torment XII, the guaranteed Mythic from a Mythic Tribute of Armaments is a strong reason to finish the activity properly. Check every item before you break it down. One affix change can alter where it fits, and the Season 14 Cube process still gives a same-slot result rather than preserving the exact Unique you used. For **s comparing options or looking for the best place to buy diablo 4 runes, the useful rule is **: choose the piece that keeps your Fury, movement, and defenses working together through a whole run.
