The first few hours of a fresh PoE1 league can make even an ordinary drop feel important. That is why a quick check against POE currency prices can be useful when you are unsure whether to equip, sell, or save an item. Still, a displayed number is not a promise. Early listings are thin, **s are levelling at different speeds, and some sellers simply set ambitious prices to see what sticks.
Build a Better Price CheckAwakened PoE Trade works best when you give it a clear question. Don't copy every stat into the search and expect a clean answer. With rares especially, that usually leaves you staring at two odd listings that tell you very little. Start with the item's **. Is it a ** piece for campaign progress, a crafting base, or something a specific build actually wants? You'll spot the useful comparisons much faster that way.
  • Confirm that the active 3.29 league is selected before checking anything. A result from Standard or an old league may look convincing, but it won't reflect the market you are playing in.
  • Copy the item and make sure the overlay reads it properly. Windowed Fullscreen or Windowed mode is usually the safer choice, and English or Russian item text is supported by the application.
  • Search the base item first, then choose two or three stats that buyers care about most. Life, **s, movement speed, key damage modifiers, and useful attributes tend to matter more than filler lines.
  • Look through several listings. Check item level, sockets, links, rolls, and any open prefix or suffix only when those details change what a buyer can do with the item.
  • Set a price based on your own timing. Price close to active offers if you want a quick response; leave room above them if the item is unusual and you are happy to wait.
Unique items need a slightly different approach. Search the name first and get a feel for the normal range. Then add the roll that affects actual performance. A high-value roll can matter a lot, while another stat on the same item might barely move the price. It is worth checking nearby roll ranges rather than treating every percentage difference as a **. The same goes for corrupted versions and special variants: some are sought after, others just narrow the buyer pool.
Version 3.28.103 remains the la** packaged release noted before the 3.29 opening, so new item types or changed modifiers deserve a second look. Linux **s should also ** copied item text, not just the overlay, because a visible settings window does not prove the full check is working. Keep your searches broad at first, watch how listings change through the day, and use POE orbs as part of a practical trading plan rather than chasing every tempting asking price.
